Laurie Heflin is a founding member of The Madison Foundation, where she continues to serve as a board member on the Grants and Distributions Committee. Laurie and her husband founded the Madison Neighbor to Neighbor Fund six years ago, and she continues to serve as its director.
After college in Arizona, her first job was as director of a Head Start center in Massachusetts. Following a change in career direction, Laurie eventually opened her own retail business in Guilford.
Madison has been her residence for at least part of the year for her entire life. She remains deeply committed to the town where she and her husband have lived full time for the past 35 years.
Laurie is the proud recipient of Shore Publishing’s Beacon Award, and the Madison Jaycees Distinguished Service Award.
She spends her free time traveling the world, practicing yoga, paddleboarding, kayaking, and playing with her cats.
