During his time on the Board of Directors, the Madison Foundation has invested more than $1 million into the community on projects ranging from college scholarships for graduating Daniel Hand High School students to learning opportunities for senior citizens to basic and emergency needs to juvenile diabetes to Friends of Hammonasset. Palmer worked tirelessly to raise funds from generous community members and helped to identify where Madison most needed those funds.
Foundation President Nancy Gerson said, “Geoff is an excellent reflection of the Madison Foundation’s mission to provide a bridge between those with a commitment to serve our community and those with the resources to help. The Madison Foundation will always hold a special place in Geoff’s heart. After 16 years, he may be retiring, but we will keep him active as an advisor and advocate. Giving back to the town and community of Madison will always be a part of his life.”
