On behalf of The Madison Foundation Neighbor to Neighbor Fund (N2N), I would like to extend our most sincere gratitude to all of the wonderful members of the Madison community who joined in to make our June 9 N2N Block Party a very special evening.
N2N is grateful to our generous sponsors of the N2N Block Party: Charles and Loretta Walz, Meig Walz Newcomb, Mike Haggerty of UBS Financial Services, Geoffrey Palmer, The Essex Savings Bank, The Community Foundation for Greater New Haven, Robert Kiely, The Madison Foundation, and The Connecticut Water Company. In addition to our sponsors, I would like to thank the many generous individuals, too numerous to mention here by name, who made contributions that assured the success of our event.
The money we raised will help N2N to continue programs that are helping hundreds of Madison Families get by in these challenging economic times. These programs provide a safety net for Madison Families who need fuel, energy, and housing assistance. It will help these families keep their lights on and their water heated. It will help N2N provide food and gas cards distributed by Youth & Family Services, as well as aid us in providing essential personal products distributed to 100-plus families who shop at the food pantry, every week.
Founding N2N member Vicky Clement did a terrific job co-chairing this very fun event, as well as organizing a fabulous group of volunteers who each contributed to making the evening so special. Thanks go to the Mad Gourmet and Spirits of Madison.
A very special thank you goes to Kate McGetrick, winner of our 50/50 raffle, who donated her winnings back to N2N, giving us an additional $1,160 to help our Madison Neighbors! We thank Madison for supporting this great cause.
