The Madison Foundation recently awarded Madison Cares $3,000 to support Madison Cares’ ninth home build for Habitat for Humanity, which is expected to begin in January 2013. Madison Cares brings more than 30 shoreline groups, including religious congregations, businesses, and school organizations as well as individuals together to support the work of Habitat for Humanity of Greater New Haven. Madison was the first town in the state to develop a community-based model to support Habitat when Madison Cares was founded nine years ago.
