Privacy Statement
The Madison Foundation, Inc (Foundation) has created this privacy
statement in order to demonstrate its firm commitment to the privacy
of its membership and website users. The following paragraphs describe
the Foundation’s information gathering and dissemination practices.
The following topics describe how the Foundation uses
information voluntarily submitted by its members and other visitors
to this site, “themadisonfoundation.org”
E-Mail Privacy
Your e-mail address will only be used within the Foundation. The
Foundation does not sell or rent e-mail addresses to anyone outside
the organization. We will use your email address to send you information
or respond to your instructions. If you do not wish to receive e-mail
correspondence, please e-mail your request to webmaster@themadisonfoundation.org
and indicate so in the subject line.
Use of IP addresses and Cookies
A unique number called an IP address identifies every
computer on the Internet. Each time you connect to the Internet
your machine is assigned an IP address. An IP address is a number
that identifies each sender or receiver of information that is sent
in packets across the Internet. The Foundation uses your IP address
to help diagnose problems with our server, and to administer the
website.
"Cookies" are small pieces of information
that are stored by your browser on your computer's hard drive. Cookies
cannot read data from your hard drive or from other cookies. Most
Web browsers automatically accept cookies, but if you prefer, you
can edit your browser options to block them in the future. If you
choose not to accept these cookies, your experience at web sites
may be diminished and some features may not work as intended
The Foundation’s Site/Membership Forms
The Foundation’s website membership forms require users to
give us contact information (such as name and email address, postal
address). This information will not be sold or disseminated to any
other organization for their use in solicitations, or for any other
purpose. The Foundation may use contact information from the membership
forms to send information about the Foundation. The contact information
is also used to contact the web visitor when necessary.
External Links
The Foundation’s website contains links to external
websites that do not fall under the Foundation’s domain. The
Foundation is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content
of such external websites. If you choose to follow such links to
external websites, you do so at your own risk.
Security
Information that you provide to us by filling out online forms is
located on a secure server. We have put into effect appropriate
procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
